It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a … wait a minute … it’s a window washer?

Some of Houston’s finest window washers recently dressed as superheroes and scaled the walls of Texas Children’s Hospital in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Superman, Spiderman, Batman, and Captain America gave the hospital’s young patients and staff and unforgettable surprise show.

With ripped muscles and capes flying, “Batman” Mario Orellana, “Captain America” Juan Torres, “Spiderman” Gerber Abarca and “Superman” Ismael Rivera rappelled down the side of the 21-story hospital spreading joy with every swipe of their squeegee.

Flying from window to window, the experienced team of widow wiping artists from Texas Window Cleaning said they did it to “make kids smile. A smile changes everything.”

As the costumed characters bounced from window to window, one young patient shouted, “That’s dangerous!”, while another bedridden patiently enthusiastically exclaimed “Those superheroes were so awesome.”

After they superhero’s departed for their next daring assignment, the hospitals young patients celebrated with arts and crafts projects focusing on their visit.
